NGHTMRE
The LA-based producer known as NGHTMRE emerged last year releasing tracks at a frenetic pace, making everything from future bass, trap, and even good old proper house. He truly arrived when he released a remix of Showtek’s track “We Like To Party” with long time friends Slander. We’ve seen the remix championed by the likes of Diplo, Carnage, DJ Snake and garnered almost 9 million plays online. Soon after releasing the remix of Showtek, the Icon Collective alum signed with Hashtag JukeLife Management (Nadia Ali, Slander, Bobby Puma, etc) who in turn quickly signed him over to Steve Gordon and Ben Hogan at Circle Talent (Carnage, Excision, Flux Pavilion, Bro Safari, Yellow Claw, etc).
A master of sound design helps make every track fresh but with very distinct drops, NGHTMRE’s remix of Victor Niglios “Jiggy,” Elliphant & Skrillex “Only Getting Younger,” Jumo Daddy’s “Black Horse” have been rinsed by Flux Pavillion, Borgore, Snails, Adventure Club to name a few. Along with these records being club bangers, they are also three of the five that charted top 3 on the Hype Machine tastemaker charts, further establishing himself as someone who’s jams are equal part melodic and high energy. Earmilk.com even went as far to dub him “Skrillex 2.0.” With releases on Ultra Records, Wind Up Records, Play Me Records and his second solo original upcoming on Mad Decent July 14 (the first was on Circus Records), the 25 year old producer is arguably the hottest act in dance music right now
During his first Miami Music Week, he played 7 shows in 5 days and had an unexpected feature of his upcoming release “Street” in Skrillex’s headlining Ultra Music Festival set. The new single was also featured in Jack Ü’s Spring Awakening after-party set, Flosstradamus’s EDC set, Bassnectar at Electric Forest and more. Furthermore, NGHTMRE’s most recent EP, a collab with Slander entitled “Nuclear Bonds” has already received support from some of the biggest names in dance music. As proof of his winning formula, NGHTMRE has already done a headline tour across Australia, the United States and made his festival debut at the mecca of dance music, EDC Las Vegas. NGHTMRE is living one sweet dream this summer playing some of the biggest music festivals across North America such as Lollapalooza and Moonrise Festival. Be on the lookout for NGHTMRE in a city near you.
